in-line rotary slicer

The in-line rotary portioner provides an automatic in-line cutting solution for round or slab products into variable portion sizes. Then machine is built around a robust stainless steel tubular frame and substantial base plate, allowing all components to be mounted for optimum cleanliness and functionality. The servo-driven conveyorm utilises a plastic modular belt for ultimate hygiene and ease of maintenance. Product is placed onto the appropriate carrier (base board) and indexed into the cut station. A servo-driven rotary ultrasonic cutting head is used to provide a precise and extremely clean cut to the desired number of portions, whilst maintaining the centre of the product.

The machine is available as a single or twin lane. Loading and offloading is normally achieved manually, but the system can be integrated with a robotic loading and unloading, as well as having the capability of being linked into other processing or packaging equipment.

more information

Ultrasonic cutting involves high frequency sound waves being generated through a sonotrode oscillating at 20,000 times per second (20KHz). The sound waves are concentrated and evenly distributed along the leading edge of the sonotrode, thereby creating a very effective and unique cutting system. The amount of movement (amplitude) can be varied to suit the product, normally varying between 40 and 80 microns. The generator is housed in the rear control panel and provides the power to the titanium sonotrode via a stainless steel housed transducer and booster.
