autoSONIC: entry-level machine

autoSONIC-S

The autoSONIC-S is an in-line slicer with ultrasonic cutting technology, designed for fast and accurate portioning of block or round products.  Products are loaded onto carrier boards and positioned on a flighted belt to ensure they are accurately positioned prior to cutting.  An ultrasonic cutting head performs highly accurate portioning and the product is conveyed by a servo-controlled conveyor, with the in-line concept allowing loading and unloading of products swiftly and easily. Multiple products may be loaded onto carrier boards to boost output, and the autoSONIC-S can be fitted with a rotary head to handle round products.

All machines are designed to meet high hygiene standards and food-safe materials and stainless steel are used throughout.  Polycarbonate panels ensure safety and acoustic standards are met. The flexibility of the machine range means that round, block, flat or loaf products from the bakery, meat and cheese industries can be processed effectively and economically.

more information

Ultrasonic cutting involves high frequency sound waves being generated through a sonotrode oscillating at 20,000 times per second (20kHz). The sound waves are concentrated and evenly distributed along the leading edge of the sonotrode, thereby creating a very effective and unique cutting system. The amount of movement (amplitude) can be varied to suit the product, normally varying between 40 and 80 microns. The generator is housed in the rear control panel and provides the power to the titanium sonotrode via a stainless steel housed transducer and booster.
